Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Girly and bohemian chic. I love bright colors, and things that pop and catch your eye; basically anything that makes me feel pretty and feminine.
Q: What/who inspires your personal style?
A: I’m a people watcher and always observing what’s around me, whether I’m at work or walking around downtown. If I see something I like then I’ll try and adapt it into my wardrobe and make it my own. Everything inspires me.
Q: What do you love buying at Beyond the Rack?
A: If it’s a great deal and I love it, I’ll buy it. I’m a total impulse shopper. The best thing has been shoes—especially heels! Doesn’t matter that I don’t need them since I’m 5’9—I just love heels! It’s like a high when I get one of my orders!
Q: What are your favorite trends out there now?
A: Maxi dresses. I love anything girly and dresses are my absolute favorite thing to wear in the summer, so it makes me happy to see that they’re a huge trend this year. Although I would still wear them even if they weren’t!
Q: What, in your opinion, is the worst fashion faux-pas?
A: People who wear jeans AND a jean jacket, especially when they’re two different shades. Just because you’re wearing the same fabric on the top as you are on the bottom does NOT make it an acceptable outfit to wear outside your house! Jeans do not equal a suit. Come on, people!
Q: What are your top 3 fashion labels?
A: I can’t narrow it down to 3. If I see something I love then I buy it, no matter who designed it or where it came from. I don’t build my wardrobe based on labels. I buy what feels right and makes me happy. That being said, there are definitely a few labels that I have started to really love, like Kensie and Genetic Denim for example.
