Mother’s Day tips from Kris Jenner, momager extraordinaire

She’s the mama of all celebrity mamas. She is a self-proclaimed momager. And she’s a force to be reckoned with when it comes to her mighty Kardashian clan.

She is none other than Kris Jenner, mother of TV glam girls Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney.

Lucky for us all, Kris took time out of her busy schedule to share some expert tips on what to get deserving moms this Mother’s Day. (After all, she speaks from experience.)

Q: What’s the best Mother’s Day gift you’ve ever gotten?

A: The best Mother’s Day gift ever was my first Mother’s Day—and I had the birth of Kourtney to celebrate (she was born on April 18). That was the best ever: the gift of being a mom for the first time!

Q: Have your daughters ever surprised you?

A: My girls surprised me by taking me to Disneyland one year about 10 years ago with the whole family. It was just my day doing something I adore with my entire brood!

Q: Jewelry is always a big hit on Mother’s Day. What tips do you have for men shopping for their wives and/or mothers?

A: If you listen to your wife or mom all year long, I am sure you will get an idea of the perfect gift for her. Jewelry is a big hit—something I always LOVE getting because I’ll have it as a memory forever. It’s timeless. I can tell you a story or a precious memory about every single piece of jewelry I have ever received. It means so much, and shows that someone really wanted to make the occasion special for you.

Q: Jewelry aside, what fashion items make good Mother’s Day gifts?

A: I love shoes and handbags!! So to any of my kids out there listening: a beautiful Chanel handbag is always an amazing surprise! LOL!

Q: Our members are big fans of home and kitchenware. What unique gift ideas for the home could you recommend for Mother’s Day?

A: One of my favorite gifts to give is a waffle maker with all of the trimmings from William Sonoma. They wrap beautifully and it’s the gift that just keeps on giving!

Q: What’s the most important thing to remember when shopping for a Mother’s Day gift?

A: Pick a gift that you know your mom or friend or wife will really use and enjoy—something really special and personal. I think either something she has been really wanting, a special hobby or interest, or a memory that she will never forget. Make it a day that she will enjoy, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, tell her you love her, because at the end of the day, that’s all that really matters! Happy Mother’s Day, everyone!

So what should we take away from this casual Q&A with Mama Kardashian?

  • Jewelry makes an awesome gift
  • Shoes and handbags: also awesome gifts
  • Kris likes homemade waffles and encourages everyone else to make them
  • Mother’s Day is about making moms feel special and loved

That sounds wonderful but in todays economie. Familys have had to resort to a sparten lifestyle. Some familys more than others. One of the best Mother’s Day I can remember was not of the purchased gift.
It was the gift of themselves, the handmade card, the macaronie braclett, or a picture they took the time to color just for me. “The celebration, ” a few hours of quality time.
Now my children are older with families of there own, creating there own memories. I can still, always rest assured that they will always want to save time to have a special moment with me. ” The Gift ,” A lifetime of wonderful memories. Something that is always with me. That special feeling inside of you that always makes you smile with that little giggle.
NOW, “The Special Gift” is what I celebrate ! A lifetime of wonderful memories that was given to me a long time ago. “The Gift “

That was such a sweet interview of Kris Jenner, BTR. She deserves a lot of mama love. I’m grateful for her invitation to read it. She is like sunrise.

    Now, I’m craving waffles …

    Stay tuned into The Light.
