At BTR, we like to think of the MTV Movie Awards as Oscar’s rebellious, fun little sister.
Every year, stars use the event as a forum for risk-taking. Sometimes they’re successful (like Emma Watson’s digital print frock by Brood this year), and sometimes less so (Paris Hilton’s blue bra top and shredded-hem skirt in 2003 and Lil Kim’s painted denim and flower-shaped pasties in 2001 immediately spring to mind).
To be honest, we’re not sure which we love seeing more.
From Leighton Meester in a (too?) casual shorts ensemble, to Christina Ricci in a Christian Siriano dress embellished with watch parts, to Jennifer Aniston fiercely renaming the LBD (Little Black Dress) the BLD (Black Leather Dress), the looks really ran the gamut this year.
There were flops and there was fabulousness – and we enjoyed it all.
